How to open a server..

Ok, White Wolf call me because he said you must help to open a server.
Like me, my server is offline, but i can open it too.

Okay..

0.1 We need to know our private IP.
C:/WINDOWS/System32/cmd.exe -- Open this file, (or type in search cmd.exe)

0.2 We write "ipconfig /all"
Then we try to find an IP. ( My computer is in Spanish, Try to translate using google translator ).


0.3 Save the IP.

0.4 Enter to this page or the other.. (try something like that)
http://192.168.0.1/
http://192.168.1.1/

0.5 I login using name "admin" just that.

0.6 Go to "ADVANCED".

0.7 Register This:

Name: CS2D - Start Port: our cs2d server port - Traffic Type: UDP
IP Adress: our saved private IP - End Port: our cs2d server port

0.8 Press "Save Settings".

0.9 Open Dedicated server "cs2d_dedicated.exe".

1.0 Enjoy!

Dude this is portforwarding, nearly everyone knows this already and i think that the High Speaker already tried this...

I've already done this, this still isn't working. My problem isn't port forwarding, my port is fine and people can join. Hell if you get on you can join I'll tell you guys the IP so you can connect directly if you want. My problem is I can't get my dedicated server to show up on the mainlist. It goes to LAN. People can still join it via Friends list but it doesnt show up on the main list.

If your port it's open, you just need to wait a long time, to open the server.

Wait!, there's another problem. Metal, you are using Admin page like the IP.
you MUST not use it, you must to use your private IP.
Open the next file:
C:/WINDOWS/System32/cmd.exe

Write ipconfig /all.
try to search your private IP.
like mine, 192.169.0.100 to 192.169.0.105
The people have a dynamic IP. ( you need to change the private IP every day ).

Okay what now?
My IP isn't dynamic it's static. If I need to change it to dynamic please tell me how.

You have to paste that IP, in your "port page" (my page is "D-Link"), write the same port too. don't forget it.

EDIT: IP Adress static, is better, you don't have to update the ip. (because i have to do it, my IP is dynamic)

which port page the first forwarding page or the UPnP forwarding, or both?

I tried both, nothing changed.

A friend suggested something, it may being showing up only in LAN for me because it's on a local area network, but it may be viewable for others. I need someone on Xfire to help me tomorrow. By the way all my ports are now 192.168.1.101:36963, I can still host and it still works but it's still in LAN.
People can join my New Game servers, it's just hidden from the main list, but people can't join my Dedicated server.

When the IP, Port, UDP are added the server is online, you just have to wait a long time.

Edit: your server can be in lan and online, you have to check if it's online, (the important it's online not lan).
If it's in online too will be in lan.

How long do I have to wait, and is there a reason it's causing me to have to wait? Our mapper here says he has to wait around 15 minutes before his starts up. How come people have an easier time joining my New Game games yet they can't join my Dedicated server games?
